This reference includes about 2.000 Georgian surnames that were settling in Imerethi's region, approximately in the 200 cities and villages in the 40s of the 19th century. It is compiled on the basis of the archival records (Confessional lists, collection #21) of Quthaisi Central State Archive and according to the work of director of the archive, candidate of historic science Merab Kezevadze.
